Kitchen Remodeling in Palm Beach, Florida
Where the approvals take longer than the build
Architectural and landmarks review prepared properly, then cabinetry built in our own shop.
Kitchen Remodeling in Palm Beach
Palm Beach has the strictest approval process in the state and there is no way around it. The town runs an architectural commission and a landmarks preservation commission, and between them they look at anything visible, anything on a designated property and a good deal that is neither. A kitchen inside a non-landmarked house is usually straightforward. Everything else is a submittal.
What we usually find in Palm Beach
The building stock justifies the care. Mizner-era Mediterranean on the North End, mid-century ocean-block condos, and estate houses where the kitchen was designed for staff and is now the room the family wants to sit in. Original tile, plaster detail, pecky cypress and steel casements are all worth keeping, and all are easy to destroy with the wrong trade on site.

Built for the houses Palm Beach actually has
We work to that standard. Cabinetry is built in our own shop, so profiles, stile widths and inset detailing follow the age of the house, down to the profile shape. Marble, quartzite and granite are templated digitally after the boxes are set. Season matters here: the town restricts what can happen when, so the calendar gets agreed before anything is ordered.
We recently had our bathroom completely remodeled and we are very happy with how everything turned out. Communication was great and the team kept us updated throughout the project.

What a kitchen remodeling job includes
Every kitchen remodeling job we take in Palm Beach runs the same way. Every kitchen we build follows the same checklist, whatever the size of the room.
Design and drawings
We measure the room, draw it to scale and show you the layout before a single item is ordered. Appliance clearances, walkways and where the light lands all get settled on paper.
Demolition and prep
Cabinets, counters, flooring and soffits come out, the site gets protected and dust barriers go up. Anything hiding behind the wall gets photographed and shown to you the same day.
Cabinetry built in house
Doors, boxes and drawer fronts are made in our own shop, so the run fits the wall you have. Soft-close hardware, plywood boxes and a finish you pick from samples in your own light.
Countertops
Quartz, granite, marble and quartzite, templated digitally after the boxes are set and installed with tight seams. Undermount sinks are cut and polished in the shop, so your floor stays clean.
Plumbing and electrical
Licensed plumbers and electricians on our own crew. New circuits, under-cabinet lighting, disposal, dishwasher and ice line all run and inspected before anything closes up.
Tile, paint and finish
Backsplash, flooring, trim and paint, then hardware, appliances and a final clean. We walk the room with you and write the punch list together.

Questions people in Palm Beach ask us
Does the town have to approve a kitchen?
If the work stays inside and the property is not landmarked, usually no. In Palm Beach the commissions care about elevations, windows, doors and anything a designated structure. We check your property’s status before quoting a schedule.
Our house is landmarked. How much can actually change?
More inside than people expect. Palm Beach landmark designation protects character-defining features, so original tile, plaster and casements need care, and the layout behind them is often negotiable. We prepare the submittal and attend the hearing.
Can you work during season?
Partly, and the rules are specific. Palm Beach restricts exterior construction through the winter months, so we schedule noisy and outside work for the off-season and keep interior work running. We agree that calendar before you order anything.
We are in an ocean-block condo. What does the building require?
Drawings, insurance certificates, agreed hours and usually a service elevator booking. Palm Beach buildings are strict and consistent about it. We prepare the package and plan material staging around the lift.
Will new cabinetry match the original detailing?
That is the point of building it ourselves. We copy stile widths, panel proportions and profile shapes from what is already in the house, so a new Palm Beach kitchen reads as though it has always been in the room.
