Flooring in Palm Beach County, Florida
One material, one run, the whole floor
Continuous runs with the transitions planned before the first box is opened.
Flooring across Palm Beach County
The fastest way to make a house feel bigger costs nothing extra in labour: run one material continuously and stop changing it at every doorway. Most houses across Palm Beach County were finished the other way, with carpet in the bedrooms, tile in the wet areas and something else again in the hall, and every threshold is a visual full stop.
What we find across Palm Beach County
What makes a continuous run work is preparation. Slabs move, and a slab poured in nineteen seventy has been moving for fifty years. We check flatness before ordering, grind or self-level where the tolerance needs it, and set the layout so cuts land where nobody looks. In condominium buildings we specify the underlayment to the sound rating the association wants and put it in the approval package.

Built for the houses Palm Beach County actually has
Tile, timber and luxury vinyl all run through our own crews, which is why flooring folds neatly into a bigger project. Doing it while the kitchen or the bathrooms are open avoids paying twice for protection and access, and it lets one person decide the order of work when the cabinetry, the appliance heights and the floor build-up all interact. On a whole-house run we set the layout from the longest sight line so the boards or the tiles stay square to the room people actually look down. And where terrazzo turns up under old carpet, we will tell you when grinding and polishing what is already there beats anything you could buy to cover it.
Wife is so happy. Vinny was very helpful from the initial appointment all the way through the project. Everything was completed on time and the quality was excellent.

Questions people across Palm Beach County ask us
Can one floor really run through the whole house?
In most plans yes, with expansion allowances where the run is long. It is the cheapest change that makes a Palm Beach County house feel larger, because every threshold you remove is one less visual stop.
Our slab is uneven. Does that rule out large tile?
It rules out installing on it as found. Large format tile needs a flat substrate, so we measure the deviation, then grind the high spots or self-level the low ones before anything is ordered.
What does the association need for flooring in a condo?
Usually an underlayment with a stated sound rating and sometimes a copy of the product data. We put that in the approval package up front so the installation is signed off without an argument later.
What if there is terrazzo under the carpet?
In mid-century houses across the county there very often is, and it usually restores beautifully. We lift a corner on the first visit and tell you honestly whether polishing beats replacing.
Should flooring go in before or after the kitchen?
It depends on the cabinetry and the appliance heights, and we settle it on the drawings. Doing both in one project means the sequence is decided once by the person answerable for both.
